Madrid: Day 6 -
Last day. Que Lastima!
Bailey and I got out of the piso early again today to try and fit everything in. Our first stop was the Museo Nacional del Prado. But first, I had try and blend in with some of my new European clothes and needed a couple cafe con leches to wake me up.
The Prado features one of the world’s greatest collections of European art, from the 12th century to the early 19th century, based on the former Spanish Royal Collection. A majority of this museum is a lot of royal family portraits. This museum hosts a wide selections from Velázquez & Goya, two the royal painters for the royal family.
One of the biggest perks of this museum was that they had all the labels about the pieces in both Spanish and English. It made for a much more educational experience and it was interesting learning more about what some of the pieces were about.
After about 4-5 hours in the museum, we hit up the gift shop and were on our way.
