The Harvard Kroks came to town this week. They stayed and performed at the Pfister Hotel and thanks to my awesome client, Cassy from Marcus, Frigge and I were hooked up with some tickets to the show on Friday night.
The concert was pretty cool. We sat in the Rouge, enjoyed a tasty meal and listened to the members of this prestigious institution sing.
Funny story: An old coworker who was randomly sitting at my table invited us and all the Kroks out to the Milwaukee Athletic Club. It was pretty cool to hang out with the Harvard kids. The had plenty of moments in the bar where they burst into song. See video.
One of the members is also a graduate of Marquette University High School.
Quote of the night: One of the members mentioned he was majoring in the Classics.
Me (to Frigge): What are the Classics?
Frigge: If you have to ask, you’re not going to get it.
I want to know. Would a bar dedicated to the Bloody Mary be a viable business venture in Milwaukee?
Good turnout at last night’s DISCUSS.
DISCUSS with the PRSA Wisconsin Young Pros: January 9, 2012
Thank you to everyone who joined us for a night of networking and lively discussion. We had some great questions and case studies to talk about and learn as a collective group.
Here’s what was DISCUSSed!
1. Verizon’s $2 debacle - It’s really interesting how much power consumers now have. How can companies better listen to their audiences to prevent uproars and riots like Netflix and Verizon. Has Social Media given the public too much power? Sometimes change is a good thing but this have the chance to cripple innovation? DISCUSS!
2. Alternative Press Releases: We’re seeing more and more articles about alternatives to the traditional press releases. Have you taken a different approach? Has it worked? Is the formal Press Release dead? DISCUSS!
3. Would a bar dedicated to the Bloody Mary be a viable business venture in Milwaukee? DISCUSS!
Do you have anything to add to the conversation? Let us know! We’d love to hear your thoughts.
